The Miss South Africa 2022 runner-up will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of reigning Miss Supranational, Lalela Mswane.
Cape Town – Miss South Africa 2022 runner-up Ayanda Thabethe will represent the country at this year’s Miss Supranational competition.
The Miss SA organisation announced the news on its social media pages on Tuesday.
The Pietermaritzburg beauty was a firm favourite during the Miss SA pageant, winning the People’s Choice vote.
The 23-year-old Thabethe will be hoping to make it back-to-back wins for the country.
Miss SA 2021 winner, Lalela Mswane, is the reigning Miss Supranational.
“I’m so excited. Please do join me for my journey. I can’t wait to share everything,” said Thabethe in a video posted on social media.
The competition is set to take place on 14 July in Poland.
The pageant has been described as one of the top five beauty contests in the world.
