JEREMY LOOPS ADDED TO GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL 2025 LINEUP
NEWS FOLLOWS GLOBAL RELEASE OF HIS BRAND-NEW ALBUM “FEATHERS & STONE”
Following on from his new album milestone this year, Jeremy Loops announces a monumental Glastonbury moment – making the bill for this year’s Glastonbury Festival 2025 on its revered Acoustics Stage this June. The festival is known for its celebration of groundbreaking music and its iconic reputation in the global live music scene.
‘’We’re so excited that the incredible Jeremy Loops is bringing his magic music to us.’’ states Glastonbury Festival on their website detailing the Acoustics Stage lineup.
Fans can expect a dynamic and emotive performance from Loops, as he brings his unique sound to this famous festival stage. It’s considered a career-shaping achievement in the local music industry and elevates any South African artist to new heights.
‘’Glastonbury’s always been a dream,” says Loops. “It’s legitimately the pinnacle festival to play. Beyond the thrill of being invited to play, I’m just buzzing to soak it all in as a fan. I can’t wait to bring Feathers & Stone to that stage and share it with everyone who’s been part of this wild journey. Time to fly the South African flag high!’’
Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Jeremy Loops, released his powerful and deeply personal new album earlier this year. The much-anticipated new album, Feathers & Stone, has climbed the charts locally, and abroad. Following a wave of anticipation and praise, Loops unveiled a body of work that transcends genres, blending soulful lyrics with melodic folk, indie, and electronic influences.
Feathers & Stone showcases Loops’ unparalleled ability to tell heartfelt, poignant stories through his music. The album’s deeply personal themes explore self-discovery, human connection, and resilience, resonating with listeners on a global scale. From the rich, layered soundscapes of Feathers & Stone to the poignant lyrics of tracks like “Loveblood (feat. Amistat)” and “Coming Home (feat. Ladysmith Black Mambazo),” this album promises to become a fan favorite and a defining moment in Loops’ career.
The album is a testament to the beauty of imperfection. “These songs are built on the raw, real stuff—live instruments, human hands, human hearts. There’s magic in the flaws, in the wobble of a string, the crack of a voice, the rhythm that’s not quite perfect. That’s where the truth lies,” Jeremy explains.
The album also offers moments of inspiration and upliftment, with the lead single “Wolves” encapsulating the spirit of adventure and courage. “At its core, Wolves is a hymn to the wild within us, an ode to the untamed currents of life,” Jeremy shares. Its haunting yet uplifting melodies invite listeners to embrace uncertainty and chase their dreams.
Unlike his previous albums, which took him to studios across the globe, Feathers and Stone was created in Jeremy’s home studio in Cape Town. The album’s authenticity and rawness were brought to life by an incredible team of producers, including Ed Holloway (Lewis Capaldi, Dean Lewis), Tobias Kuhn (Milky Chance), James Earp (Vance Joy) and Iain Archer (James Bay, Snow Patrol).
Jeremy’s South African roots shine through in every track, weaving together the vibrancy and contrasts of his homeland. “Growing up in a place of wild contrasts, immense challenges, and unparalleled beauty has shaped my music and perspective,” he says.
Jeremy describes Feathers and Stone as a homecoming. “These songs are meant to take you back to a simpler time. Kick your shoes off, feel the earth beneath your feet, and let the music remind you of what it means to feel human.”
With its powerful themes, raw sound, and heartfelt storytelling, Feathers and Stone is a musical journey not to be missed. Jeremy Loops invites you to lose yourself in these songs and find your own balance – your own feathers in the stone.
